The Everest XL is the most spacious tiny house in the Fox Cabins® range — and with 1 and 2 bedroom layouts available, generous living spaces, and custom sizing from 12m to 14m long and 2.9m to 3.6m wide, it genuinely doesn’t feel tiny.
Whether you’re building a permanent home, a lifestyle block retreat, or a high-performing Airbnb, the Everest XL is designed to impress. Because every build is completely custom, no two are ever the same — our clients choose their layout, bedroom configuration, finishes, and features to create something uniquely theirs.
The generous downstairs living and bathroom area is the heart of the Everest XL. Cathedral ceilings with exposed timber beams create a sense of space and architectural character rarely found in a tiny house. The L-shaped kitchen is flooded with natural light from a Velux skylight above, with space for a full-size fridge and plenty of bench and storage on both sides. The lounge comfortably fits a full couch and dining setting — a far cry from the typical tiny home compromise.
Upstairs, the mezzanine level works beautifully as a second bedroom, guest accommodation, or a private retreat. For clients wanting two full bedrooms, we also build the Everest XL with a second downstairs bedroom — just tell us what you need.
The Everest XL can be transported on a low loader and placed on your section, lifestyle block, or rural property anywhere in New Zealand.

- Electrical: We design the electrical and light plan with you. Certificate of Compliance and Warrant of Electrical Fitness included
- Hot water: 16L Rheem LPG gas califont — on demand. Gas Certificate issued. All work by Licensed Gas Fitters and Plumbers.
- Bathroom: Shower with showerdome, flushing toilet (upgrade to composting), custom vanity, mirror, powered venting. Can come with bath if desired
- Kitchen: All cabinetry designed and made by our cabinet makers in house. Blum hardware
Why Fox Cabins®?
Every tiny home we build leaves our Raglan workshop fully finished and road legal. All electrical work comes with a Certificate of Compliance and Warrant of Electrical Fitness, and all plumbing is installed by a licensed plumber.
Fox Cabins® is led by Adam Fox, NZ Licensed Building Practitioner. We’ve been building tiny homes since 2017 and we’ve never made the same one twice — every build is designed around the client, not the other way around. Built in our own purpose-built facility in Raglan, we love what we do, and it shows in our craftsmanship.
