Tiny Homes NZ | Fox Cabins®
Tiny Homes - Custom Built to Order Since 2017
Fox Cabins® has built over 100 tiny homes across New Zealand since 2017. That makes us one of NZ’s most experienced custom tiny home builders. We don’t work from a fixed catalogue. Instead, we take your ideas and design your tiny home around them. Every build meets a standard you’ll be proud of for years to come.
Our clients range from families adding bach accommodation to couples building Airbnb retreats, first home buyers, and downsizers. All of them share one thing: they want a tiny home we design and build specifically for them.

1 & 2 Bedroom Tiny Homes on Wheels
We build our tiny homes on wheels on road-legal, registered, and warranted trailers. We class them as vehicles, not buildings. A full-size ute can therefore tow them anywhere in New Zealand. All models stay under 3,500kg and 2.9 metres wide, so you won’t need a pilot vehicle.
These 1 and 2 bedroom designs reach up to 8 metres long. We craft each one to a high specification and never build the same home twice.
For larger tiny homes, see our XL Range below or explore our Transportable Homes.
The XL Range – 2-3 Bedroom Tiny Homes on Wheels
We also build the XL range on trailers. However, we class them as oversized loads and transport them by low-loader truck. As a result, they offer significantly more space while still giving you the flexibility of a home on wheels.
Up to 14 metres long and 3.6 metres wide, they come in 2 and 3 bedroom configurations. Like every Fox Cabins® build, we fully custom design and craft each XL to an exceptional standard. In fact, no two are ever the same.
For those needing something even larger or on a permanent foundation, explore our Transportable Homes.
